VIAM today announced that three senior appointments, Roger Moh, Kit Mak and Sam Clothier have joined the firm.

Roger Moh joins as Managing Director and Head of Capital Solutions, Kit Mak joins as Managing Director and General Counsel and Sam Clothier joins as Executive Director, Business Development. Together with existing members of the VIAM team, they will spearhead the growth of VIAM's Asia private credit strategy which is focused on providing bespoke financing solutions to SMEs in Asia that are underserved by traditional financing channels.

Roger brings with him nearly 20 years of alternative investment experience. He was most recently Founder and Managing Director at EmergeVest, a Hong Kong-based private equity and private credit fund manager. Prior to founding EmergeVest, he served as Head of Greater China for HSBC's Principal Investment business and was a founding investment professional at Credit Suisse's Asia private equity business.

Kit brings with him nearly 20 years of finance law experience, with extensive experience in leveraged buyouts, private credit/special situation transactions, real estate transactions and distressed/workout situations. He was most recently General Counsel and Managing Director at EmergeVest, Prior to joining EmergeVest, he led the finance practice at Paul, Weiss in Hong Kong. He also practised finance law at Ropes & Gray in Hong Kong and Clifford Chance in London, Hong Kong and Beijing.

Sam is a 15-year veteran in investor relations and institutional sales. He previously served as Director of Investor Relations at EmergeVest; Director of Investor Relations at TransAsia Private Capital, an Asia-focused private debt firm with $1.8BN in assets under management ("AuM"); Director at Aberdeen Standard Investments, a FTSE 100 listed investment manager with $700BN of AuM, where he was responsible for Private Market Sales Asia-Pacific ex-Japan.

VIAM was established in 2016 with over $11BN of AuM which is overseen by 61 investment professionals across Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, Shanghai and Shenzhen. VIAM invests across traditional and alternative asset classes.
